Ontario-based artists are invited to submit up to two recent original artworks (2024–2026) for jury selection and potential exhibition and award.
Overview
The Fine Arts Society of Milton (FASM) invites Ontario-based artists to submit up to two recent original artworks (2024–2026) to the 2026 FASM Juried Art Show. The exhibition runs from September 16th to October 3rd, 2026 at the Holcim Gallery, FirstOntario Arts Centre, Milton. An opening night ceremony will be held on September 26th, 2026, at 7:00 PM to announce award winners, followed by refreshments. Selected artists are invited to arrive prior to the opening to meet and discuss their artworks with the jurors.

Eligibility & Requirements
- Ontario-based artists only
- Works must be original, created within the last two years (2024–2026)
- Maximum two entries per artist
- Works must be available for display during the entire exhibition
- AI-generated or AI-manipulated images as reference are not permitted
Fees
- FASM Members: $35.00 for up to two pieces (non-refundable)
- Non-members: $45.00 for up to two pieces (non-refundable)
Awards
- First Place: $500
- Second Place: $350
- Third Place: $250
- Honourable Mention: Two prizes of $100 each
Submission Guidelines
- Maximum two entries per artist
- Artist bio: 200 words maximum
- Artist statement per work: 200 words maximum
- Digital files must be JPEG or PNG format, no more than 5MB, readable on PC
- For sculpture entries: submit at least 2 images per artwork
Artwork Specifications
- Acceptable media: Acrylic, oil, watercolor, pencil/charcoal, mixed media, textile art
- Unacceptable media: Photography, computer-generated, AI-generated, functional art, wet or unfinished pieces
- All works must be properly wired and ready to hang; no saw-tooth hangers
- D rings only for hanging wire; no eye hooks
- Framed or unframed works welcome; if unframed, sides must be painted and canvas-wrapped pieces must have gallery depth of at least 1.5 inches
Sales Commission
Sale of artwork during the Juried Show will be administered by FASM. Payment will be remitted to the artist minus a 20% commission.
Insurance & Contact
The Town of Milton provides insurance coverage for artworks on display in the Holcim Gallery, subject to a maximum of $3,000 per work. Accidental breakage of glass or fragile items, including frames, is not covered. For questions, contact Venu Rai at juriedshow@fasm.ca.
