Submit up to 5 sculptures for a year-round outdoor sculpture exhibition in Grand Junction's historic downtown and/or a one-year display at Colorado Mesa University.
Overview
Art on the Corner (AOTC) is entering its 42nd year as a year-round outdoor sculpture exhibition in Grand Junction's historic creative district. Up to 18 pieces will be displayed along Main Street and Colorado Avenue corridors. Colorado Mesa University is piloting a new on-campus sculpture walk and will select five works for one-year display. The 2026 exhibits will be curated by acclaimed Colorado sculptor Pavia Justinian.

Eligibility
Open to 3D sculpture artists. Sculptures must be original works created by the artist. Applicants must submit work compatible in style, scale, material, form, and content with the Downtown area and broader Grand Junction community.

Artwork requirements
Sculptures must be constructed of durable materials capable of withstanding all weather conditions and should be resistant to vandalism. All work must demonstrate structural and surface soundness, be resistant to theft and theft, and require minimal maintenance.
Awards & compensation
All accepted artists will receive a $1,000 honorarium following installation. Best in Show Awards will be presented on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with award payments distributed 2–3 weeks after installation. The People's Choice Award winner will be notified via email. Sculptures displayed at Colorado Mesa University are not eligible for awards.
Artist details
Two nights of lodging will be provided for incoming artists. An Artist Welcome Reception will be held at SpringHill Suites on Friday, October 2, 2026. The artist (or representative) is required to deliver the artwork and be present for installation on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
