Overview
The City of Glendale's Office of Arts & Culture seeks qualifications from experienced artists or artist teams to design and facilitate a large-scale collaborative community artwork as part of a Fall 2026 community arts event. The outdoor evening event will combine art-making, live music, food vendors, and community engagement through a paint-and-sip inspired experience where community members create artwork inspired by famous artistic movements while incorporating iconic Glendale themes and landmarks.

- Artist commitment: Approximately 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM (setup, facilitation, breakdown)

Eligibility
This opportunity is open to professional artists and artist teams residing in Arizona. Applicants should demonstrate experience creating community-engaged artwork, facilitating collaborative art projects, working with diverse audiences, and strong communication and organizational skills. Local and regional artists are strongly encouraged to apply.
Submission Requirements
- Letter of Interest (maximum 2 pages): description of community-engaged and participatory art experience, interest in participating, and approach to community collaboration
- Resume or Curriculum Vitae
- Portfolio: up to 10 images of completed community art, public art, collaborative art, or participatory art projects with image descriptions and project information
