Submit artworks (images or video) that express the concept of resilience, interpreted in any way across all art media and disciplines.

LatinXperiencia 2026: "La Resiliencia" invites Latino/a/x artists to submit artworks exploring resilience—a superpower that gives us strength, tenacity, and adaptability in challenging times. The artwork content does not have to be specific to Latino/a/x themes or culture. All interpretations and media are welcome.

Open to Latino/a/x artists living in the US, working in any art media or discipline.

High-quality images (JPG format) or video files of your artworks. Maximum 3 artworks per artist (1 submission limit per artist). You must submit at least 1 and no more than 3 total pieces.

  • Submission deadline: July 29, 2026, 10:59 PT / 11:59 MT
  • Selected artists notified by: August 17, 2026
  • Artwork delivery: September 16 (shipped) or September 17–18 (in person)

Alyssarhaye Graciano is the Visual Arts Curator at MACLA/Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana in San Jose, CA. She is a community curator, published author, and practicing textile artist whose curatorial practice has focused on emerging and established artists of color, uplifting untold stories, and artistic expressions. She holds a BA in Languages and Literature from the University of California, Riverside, and is trilingual.

Cabrillo Gallery in Aptos, California presents high-quality art and design exhibitions, lectures, and programming to promote discourse about the visual arts and culture. Programming serves to educate and inspire the Cabrillo College academic community, the wider San Francisco and Monterey Bay Areas, and beyond.
