Overview
The New Orleans Art Association (NOAA) invites artists throughout the United States to participate in its 27th National Juried Art Show at The Building Art Gallery in October 2026. A maximum of 80 artworks will be exhibited. Cash and ribbons will be presented for outstanding examples of accepted artists' work.

Eligibility
Entrants must be United States citizens, 18 years of age or older. Artwork must not have been previously displayed in any NOAA national show and must have been completed after January 1, 2023. All reference photos must have been taken by the artist.
Media & Format
Two-dimensional works only. Acceptable media: paintings (oil, acrylic, encaustic, pastel, egg tempera), water media, drawings (graphite, conte-crayon, colored pencil, charcoal, pen and ink), alcohol inks, and scratchboard. Mixed media allowed without collage elements. Diptychs and triptychs are eligible and count as one submission (maximum three consecutive panels).
Size Requirements
Artwork may not exceed 60 inches in width and 80 inches in length, including the frame. Artwork, excluding frame, may not be smaller than 8 inches in length or width. Maximum weight is 25 pounds. Artwork must be ready to hang with wire and D-rings or screw eyes. Gallery-wrapped submittals (minimum 1 1/4 inches deep) must have all edges finished/painted.

- NOAA Members: $40 for up to 3 works; $10 each additional
- Non-Members: $50 for up to 3 works; $10 each additional
- Up to 5 artworks per artist
Awards

Restrictions
No refunds after entry fee is submitted. Artwork will not be exhibited if it does not meet eligibility criteria, and refunds will not be issued; the artist will be responsible for retrieval. No painting or duplicate painting may be submitted to another exhibition (in-person or virtual) that overlaps with any part of the NOAA Exhibit. No full-frontal nudes, collages, photography, prints, textiles, 3D works, or AI-generated work.
