Submit up to three poems (maximum one per category from five themes) in rhyme, free verse, Haiku, or other forms, up to 60 lines each.

The 22nd Annual Voices of Lincoln Poetry Contest celebrates National Poetry Month with the theme "Memories: Revisiting The Past Through Poetry." Poets of all ages are welcome to enter, and young poets 18 and under will compete in a special category.

  • What I'd Like To Do Over Again
  • Advice That Changed My Life
  • Maximum of three poems per poet
  • No more than one poem per category
  • Poems may be in rhyme, free verse, Haiku, or other accepted poetry forms
  • Maximum 60 lines per poem
  • Entry period: April 1, 2026 – July 15, 2026
  • Submission deadline: Wednesday, July 15, 2026, 12:00 PM

Open to international poets. Poets do not have to live in Lincoln, CA to be eligible. Young poets 18 years of age or under are encouraged to submit and will compete in a special Young Poets category.

No entry fee.

Winners will receive a commemorative chapbook of the winning poems.
