Overview
The Georgia Watercolor Society is accepting submissions for its 2026 Member Juried Exhibition at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF) in Watkinsville, Georgia. All paintings must be original work using water-soluble media and completed after January 1, 2024. The juror is Diana Toma.

Eligibility
Open to artists 17 years of age and older residing in the U.S. who are members of the Georgia Watercolor Society. All work must have been completed after January 1, 2024, and must be original from conception to completion.
Media & materials
- Allowed water media: watercolor, casein, gouache, egg tempera, water-soluble ink, and batik using water media along with wax resist on paper
- Collage accepted only if all elements were made using water media and created by the artist
- Watercolor crayons and pencils accepted only if part is dissolved in water
- Preprinted or computer-generated images not accepted
- Work done in a workshop or under classroom supervision not permitted
Submission requirements
Submit digital .jpg images (1200 pixels on the longer side, file size less than 5 MB) with filename format: LastName,FirstName_Title_Height×Width_City_State. Include only the artwork; do not include framing or surroundings. For each painting entered, provide title, size in inches (height × width), and selling price or NFS (Not for Sale).
Fees & awards
- Entry fee: $35 for members, up to 3 images
- $3,000 in total cash awards; first prize $1,000 in cash
- Sales commission: 40% total (30% to OCAF, 10% to Georgia Watercolor Society)

Payment can be made online via PayPal or credit card. Alternatively, send PayPal payment directly to georgiawatercolorsociety@gmail.com and indicate it is for the Exhibition Entry.
Notification & contact
Accepted artists will be notified on August 9, 2026, when a list of accepted paintings and artists will be posted on the GWS website and Facebook page.
