Sustainability Virtual Art Residency and Exhibition

Overview

A 9-week virtual art residency program about ocean conservation, sustainability, rooted communities, memory, territory, the earth, and climate. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and endorsed as an activity by the United Nations Decade of the Ocean.

Program Structure

Residents participate in weekly virtual meetings, exchange dialogue and ideas with other residents from all nationalities, participate in talks with special guests related to science and ancestral knowledge perspectives, and present work in a virtual open studio and exhibition.

Eligibility

Open to artists based anywhere in the world, any stage of career. May apply individually or as a team; must apply and be accepted individually.

Fees

• Total cost: $450 USD for the 9-week program
• Includes active participation, access to marine scientific community and ancestral knowledge, virtual open studio and exhibition, and promotion during the program

Open application via Google Form. No grants available, but accepted artists receive a letter of acceptance as residents.
