Submit up to 3 original artworks in any media, along with a brief bio and CV, for consideration in a student-curated exhibition.
Overview
Drake University's Art History Capstone class, in partnership with Mainframe Studios, invites Mainframe resident artists to submit work for a student-curated exhibition. Students will select artists and works based on a theme they develop from submissions, then conduct studio visits, organize and install the exhibition, and write catalog essays.

- Call for entries open: Monday, June 22 – Friday, August 7, 2026
- Entries due: Friday, August 7, 2026 at 11:59 PM
- Artists notified: Monday, September 7, 2026
- Studio visits: Monday, September 7 – Friday, September 18, 2026
- Delivery: Tuesday, October 20, 2026, 9 AM – 4 PM
- Exhibition: November 5 – December 18, 2026
- Opening reception: Thursday, November 5, 2026, 5–7 PM
- Pickup: Monday, December 21, 2026, 9 AM – 3 PM
Eligibility
Applicants must be current tenants at Mainframe Studios. All original work created within the last 5 years is eligible; all media accepted.

Fees & Awards
Entry is free. There is no monetary award; artists selected will have their work exhibited and featured in a published catalog.
Delivery & Installation
All accepted work must be delivered ready to install during the posted delivery time (October 20, 9 AM – 4 PM). Work arriving in non-exhibition-ready condition is subject to exclusion. Late delivery may also result in exclusion. Works must remain on display for the entire exhibition period.
