Eligibility
Open to writers at any career stage based anywhere in the world. Applicants with nature as muse, inspiration, or collaborator receive priority. Collaborative applications (teams) welcome. Spouses/partners and children allowed for full stay as non-collaborators. Rolling applications reviewed upon receipt.
What to Expect
This rural location is about 20 minutes from the nearest town and requires disconnection from normal life and contemporary distractions. The program emphasizes natural immersion, a different sense of time, and a nurturing creative space. Most participants accomplish more in shorter time due to eliminated distractions and supportive environment.
Program Rules & Community Standards
- No shoes inside houses
- Limited alcohol use or option to stay dry; no drugs or weapons
- Safe, inclusive space—no bullying, harassment, or fraternization
- Help maintain clean/healthy space: no leaving out food, wash dishes by end of day, clean counters as you go
- Self-discipline encouraged to avoid wifi-enabled distraction

Farm Stay Scholarship ($150–300) available based on application interest and interview to discuss skills; requires approximately 6 hours per week of physical participation and deducts from final fees.
