About
Submit up to 3 original artworks on pet themes (paintings, prints, sculpture, jewelry, photography, and other media) for a juried exhibit with awards.
Overview
Unleash your creativity and tap into that unique bond and love we share with our pets (domestic or even on the wild side). Black Swamp Arts is launching a pet-themed exhibit where most media is welcome. This exhibit will be juried and then judged for awards.

Eligibility
Entry is open to artists age 18 and older. Entries must be the original work of the exhibiting artist. Work shown in previous exhibits at BSAC may not be entered again. Please enter work that has been completed within the last 3 years.
Media & size
- Media: paintings, hand-pulled prints, pastels, mixed media, sculpture, collage, pottery, glass, jewelry, wood, metalwork, fiber art, or framed photographs
- 2-D works: 60" x 60" (including frame) maximum and weigh less than 20 lbs; must be appropriately framed with sturdy wire hangers (no sawtooth hangers); no unframed work (canvas wraps with painted sides ready to hang accepted)
- 3-D works: Those weighing more than 60 lbs and/or 4 feet across in width or height require special arrangements; call for details
- Work with wet or sticky surfaces will be disqualified
Entry fees
- Non-Members: $35 for up to 3 works
- BSAC Artist Members: $30 for up to 3 works
- Artist membership dues are $35 per year

- Merit Awards (3): $50 each

How to enter
Submit up to 3 artworks per artist. Sets can be considered as one entry (e.g., a set of matching mugs, diptychs, etc.). All entries must be legibly labeled on the back (2-D work) or on side or bottom (3-D work) with your name, title of work, medium, and price. Mark items that are not for sale as NFS.
Delivery & pickup
No shipping; drop off artwork only. Unsold entries can be picked up September 12, 10am–2pm unless prior arrangements are made. Entries left over 30 days are forfeit and will become the property of Black Swamp Arts Center.
Sales & commission
Black Swamp Arts Center will handle all sales. A 30% commission will be taken. Artist payouts are calculated monthly.
