Overview
Aviário Studio Intaglio Printmaking Residency promotes exploration and production in printmaking with a focus on intaglio techniques including drypoint, etching, aquatint, soft-ground etching, soap ground, mezzotint, carborundum, collagraph, and solar plates. The residency provides technical conditions, time, and space to develop ideas, and can focus on experimentation, research, or consolidation of a new body of work. Duration, focus, and outcomes are defined by the participating artist's goals.

Facilities & equipment
Dedicated and shared studios with specialized equipment including Polymetaal Press (260 x 140 cm), Reig Press (100 x 60 cm), UV Light Exposure Unit (150 x 120 cm), glass tables for inking, hot table, light table, paper soaking sinks, acid room, silkscreen studio, and well-ventilated spray room. Full-time and part-time technicians available.

Housing & amenities
Private bedroom in a shared housing facility on campus. Residents have access to shared kitchen; no meals are provided. Pets not allowed.
