Overview
The European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao, the Goethe-Institut, and Eaton HK invite artists to submit artworks and ideas interpreting Diversity, Equity & Inclusion across all mediums. Finalists will be selected for a major curated group exhibition at Goethe Gallery HK.

What to submit
- Artwork Submission: Original works across any medium (painting, digital art, sound art, etc.) interpreting diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Community Action Pitch: Propose a 1-day interactive community experience (workshop, screening, performance, discussion) celebrating DEI and serving underrepresented groups
Eligibility
Open to all Hong Kong/Macau-based artists. Artists of diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged. The call does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, color, immigration status, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or artistic training.
Submission limits
- Maximum 3 artwork submissions per artist; only 1 may be exhibited
- Artworks must be original and not previously exhibited at Goethe Gallery
- Community Action Pitch proposals do not count toward the artwork submission limit
Fees
No entry fee.
Selection criteria
All entries evaluated by independent judging panel on artistic excellence (creativity, originality, technical execution, aesthetic quality, conceptual depth); theme interpretation (engagement with DEI principles, representation of underrepresented voices, inspiration for social awareness); and message/narrative (engagement with urgent social/cultural/political conversations, ability to evoke empathy, balance of complexity with approachability).

- 2-week residency at EATON for grand prize winner
Logistics
Artwork delivery must be arranged by the artist; installation handled by the organizer. Selected artists must confirm participation within 7 days of notification.
