Filmmakers identifying as women are invited to apply for a four-day post-production film camp focused on narrative editing, audio mixing, colour correction, and technical filmmaking skills.

Moonlighter Film Camp - Post Production is a four-day workshop led by professionals in the outdoor film industry. The camp offers a safe learning environment for women to enhance technical filmmaking skills, including narrative editing, audio mixing, colour correction, and other aspects of post-production filmmaking.

  • Submission deadline: October 28, 2026

This program is for filmmakers who identify as women. Applicants should have a strong desire to make filmmaking their career, some experience in project planning, camera work, sound capture, pitching, location skills, editing, and distribution, and must have completed at least one film screened in a professional environment.

Participants will take part in scheduled workshops with faculty and guests to build technical filmmaking skills, explore compelling narrative elements, discuss themes in mountain and adventure filmmaking, receive feedback on works-in-progress, and share strategies with peers.

Participants benefit from on-campus lodging and meals to support a fully immersive experience, access to shared production spaces and collaborative areas, private studios, shared studios, and a photo and video editing suite. The program runs for 4 days with approximately 15 artists in residence at a time. English is the language of instruction and Banff Centre correspondence.
