About
Submit up to 4 plein air paintings, sketches, or prints created on-site on the West Shore (Colwood, Langford, Metchosin, Bear Mountain) for exhibition in the Lagoon Arts & Culture Festival.
Overview
Arts & Culture Colwood is hosting a plein air exhibition as part of the Lagoon Arts & Culture Festival. Artists may paint, sketch, or create lino or mono prints anywhere on the West Shore, which includes Colwood, Langford, Metchosin, and Bear Mountain. At least 75% of each work must be completed on site, en plein air.

- Submission deadline: August 2, 2026 (or until maximum of 60 pieces is reached)
- Exhibition dates: September 3–27, 2026
Eligibility
Open to members and non-members. No 3D or Photography.
Submissions
- Maximum 4 pieces per artist
- Pieces 30'' wide or more count as 2 submissions
- No size restrictions otherwise
Fees
Each piece has a $20 submission fee, paid online with credit card.
Award
The Royal Bay Developers (Path) will select 3 images from the show. Each selected image will be blown up to 96'' x 96'' and displayed on a billboard at 345 Latoria Boulevard for several months at no cost to the artist.
