¡Encantada! is an annual juried exhibition sponsored by the Rio Grande Art Association (RGAA) promoting the sale of original 2D and 3D artwork. All styles are welcome: traditional, representational, abstract, non-traditional, contemporary, and avantgarde.

  • Submission deadline: September 11, 2026
  • Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony: Friday, November 6, 2026, 5:30–7:30 pm
  • Exhibition: Saturday, November 7–Sunday, November 29, 2026 (Thursday–Sunday, 10:00 am–5:00 pm)
  • Closed Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thanksgiving
  • Must be 18 or older
  • RGAA membership required (dues must be paid in full before submitting and remain current through November 30, 2026, or later)
  • Artwork must be original and produced within the last two years from the entry deadline
  • Artwork must not have been exhibited in any previous RGAA-sponsored show

Original paintings, drawings, artisan prints (lithographs, etchings, engravings, silkscreens, monotypes), collage, sculpture, metalwork, woodwork, ceramics, batik, weaving, jewelry, and other 2D or 3D artwork.

  • Works with pre-embossed or pre-printed images
  • Works from copyrighted materials (published materials, photographs, other artworks)
  • Artwork done under instructor guidance
  • At least 80% of artwork surface/form must be hand worked
  • Must be original in concept and executed solely by the entering artist

Volunteering on show committee or hosting ("sitting") the show at the venue is required for all artists with accepted artwork, unless they live farther than 50 miles from ExpoNM. Artists who do not meet the distance requirement and are unavailable to volunteer or host may do a buyout for $40. All artwork must remain exhibited until Sunday, November 29, 2026, 6 pm, unless special arrangements are made with the Show Chair.
