About
Submit up to two original artworks exploring the concept of freedom for a juried exhibition with cash and ribbon awards.
Overview
Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA) invites local and regional artists to submit works for the juried exhibition Freedom: The Spirit Within, presented, curated, and juried by Lisa Russo, M.F.A. & M. of Ed. Freedom means something different to each of us—it can be found in personal journeys, creative expression, relationships, beliefs, memories, aspirations, and everyday lives. This exhibition celebrates the many ways freedom is experienced, understood, and expressed.
Theme & Inspiration
Artists are encouraged to explore and interpret the concept of freedom through their unique perspectives and artistic voices, considering themes of self-expression, resilience, identity, hope, possibility, remembrance, and the enduring human spirit. Works inspired by America's 250th Anniversary and the 25th Anniversary of September 11 are welcome, but participation is not limited to those subjects.
