Overview
2026 International Online Show presented by the Pastel Society of Colorado. Submissions are digital images of original soft pastel paintings, with up to 5 works per artist eligible for entry.

Eligibility
Open to soft pastel artists 18 years of age or older. Work must be original, designed and composed by you using your own reference, and not copied from other artists or published materials. No AI-generated images, instructor-provided references, or work created under supervision in a class or workshop. Paintings must be completed within the last two years (2024 or later) and not previously shown in any Pastel Society of Colorado exhibitions.
Media & technical requirements
- Artwork's final surface must be predominantly (80%) traditional dry pastel
- No artwork created over photographic images or prints
- Collage materials, if used, must be created by the artist
- Submit high-quality JPEG images only (no PNG or TIFF)
- Images must show artwork only, with no visible matting, frames, or background distractions
- Images must be correctly oriented and high resolution
Fees
- PSC Members: $30 for up to 3 paintings, $5 for each additional painting up to 5
- Non-Members: $40 for up to 3 paintings, $5 for each additional painting up to 5
- Maximum 5 paintings per artist; maximum 2 paintings per artist may be juried into the show
- Entry fee is non-refundable and must be paid at time of entry
- PSC membership: $45 annually
Awards
Nine cash prizes, plus the Terry Ludwig award, awarded at the discretion of judge Corey Pitkin. Award winners will be paid by check (US artists only) or by PayPal (non-US artists). Non-US recipients agree to accept PayPal fees/charges incurred.
Sales & commission
PSC will connect potential buyers with artists, but sales and delivery are the artist's sole responsibility. A 10% donation to PSC is requested on all sales during the show. PSC accepts no liability in the sale or shipping of artwork. Sales end January 31, 2027.
Submission & notification
Submit artwork information via ShowSubmit.com with title and price (NFS acceptable). All notifications will be emailed by end of day Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Add [email protected] to safe senders list. Check your ShowSubmit account Entry History for status; accepted works will show a green check.
Juror
Corey Pitkin, PSA, IAPS-EP (coreypitkin.com). A predominantly self-taught artist with award-winning work featured in The Pastel Journal, Art Renewal Center, Portrait Society of America, and international publications. Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and Eminent Pastelist with the International Association of Pastel Societies.
