Overview
Taos Watercolor Society invites watermedia artists to submit entries for their First Annual Salon de Agua juried exhibition. The competition is open to artists residing in the New Mexico counties of Colfax, Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, and Taos. The exhibition will be judged by Kevin Macpherson, one of America's most accomplished Impressionistic plein air painters.

Eligibility
Open to watermedia artists living in Colfax, Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, or Taos counties, New Mexico.
How to enter
Submit 1–3 digital images (JPG format, minimum 1200 pixels on longest side, 300 dpi, up to 5 MB each). Include artist full name, county of residence, email, and artist statement. Social media link and website are optional.

- Honorable Mentions receive gift certificates at the discretion of the judge
Delivery and pickup
All paintings must be hand-delivered to Stables Gallery, 133 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte, Taos, NM on October 30, 2026 between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm MST. If unable to deliver during this timeframe, it is the artist's responsibility to make alternate arrangements. No painting in the exhibition may be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Accepted artists may pick up unsold paintings on November 8, 2026.
Sales and commission
All paintings will be considered for sale at the price set by the artist unless marked NFS (Not For Sale). Prices may not be changed once accepted into the exhibition. Paintings sold are subject to a 20% commission.
Liability
It is suggested that artists carry their own insurance. Taos Watercolor Society and its representatives, including Stables Gallery, will not be responsible for damage or loss of artwork, whatever the cause. Submitting a work constitutes agreement to comply with all terms and conditions.
