Submit 2–5 images of original fine art or photography in one of seven categories (Oil, Mixed Media, Pastel/Drawing, Watercolor, Acrylic, Photography, or 3-D/Sculpture) for jury consideration and potential cash awards.

The Lincoln Gallery and Thompson Valley Art League invite submissions for the 2026 Regional Fine Art and Photography Show. This juried exhibition is open to artists in the western and central United States. The judge is Desmond O'Hagan, an accomplished pastel and oil painter with extensive exhibition and publication history.

  • Submission deadline: July 15, 2026 (11:59 PM Mountain Standard Time)
  • Exhibition: September 11 – October 1, 2026
  • Artists' Reception and Awards Presentation: September 11, 2026 at 6:00 PM; Awards Presentation at 6:30 PM
  • Jury notification: Friday, July 24, 2026 by email
  • Open to artists living in AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, KS, ND, NE, NM, NV, MT, OR, SD, TX, UT, WY, and WA
  • Work must be original art, not copied from published photos or works by other artists
  • No installations or sets of works to make one entry
  • Frames and matting must be in new or like new condition
  • No AI-generated art accepted
  • Entries previously accepted in Lincoln Gallery or Thompson Valley Art League sponsored shows are not permitted

  • Flat work (including frame) shall not exceed a linear measurement of 75 inches (length + width)
  • Must be wired for hanging; no saw-tooth hangers
  • Gallery-wrapped paintings acceptable if all sides are painted or finished with no visible staples; stretcher bars must be at least 1.5" in thickness
  • Gallery-wrapped photography accepted if all sides are finished with no visible staples
  • Frames and matting must be in new or like new condition
  • Delivered artwork must match the submitted image; no substitutions allowed
  • Entry Fee (includes 2 entries): $45.00
  • Media Fee (per entry over minimum): $10.00 each

Judge Desmond O'Hagan will host a comprehensive 3-day workshop, September 9–11, for pastel and oil painters titled "Capturing Light - Interpreting Values and Shapes." The workshop includes digital slide presentations, morning lectures on composition and painting techniques, and daily demonstrations.
