Artists at all career levels from emerging to established professional, 18 years of age or older residing in Wisconsin are invited to submit up to two original two-dimensional artworks.
Overview
The 51st Juried Annual at Miller Art Museum invites artists from Wisconsin to submit original two-dimensional artworks. A panel of jurors will select works for exhibition, with a total of $1,950 in cash awards presented at the opening reception.
Eligibility
- Artists at all career levels from emerging to established professional
- 18 years of age or older
- Residing in the State of Wisconsin
- Original two-dimensional (hangable) artwork created within the past two (2) years
- Single unit only; diptychs or triptychs not eligible
- Artwork not previously exhibited in Door County
- Artwork not completed under teacher direction in a class or workshop
- No reproductions or giclée fine art reproductions
Media & Size
- Two-dimensional original artworks in any media
- Dimensions must not exceed 48" L x 48" H x 5" D including framing
Submission
- Submit up to 2 works per artist
- Entry fee: $30.00 (non-refundable)
- Submit digital images via ArtCall.org at https://millerartmuseum.org/
- Images in .jpg format (300dpi; 540px minimum, 4600px maximum on longest side; 4MB file size maximum)
- File naming: Artist Name_Artwork Title_medium.jpg

- Wednesday, September 2: Email notification to artists and artwork delivery begins
- Monday, September 7: Work delivery until 6:30 pm
- Tuesday–Saturday, September 8–12: Work delivery 10 am–4:30 pm
- Monday, September 14, 4 pm: Final deadline for work receipt
- Friday, September 18, 5–7 pm: Opening reception; awards remarks at 6 pm
- Saturday, November 7: Exhibition closes
- November 10–13: Artwork pick-up between 10 am–4 pm

- Three Special Merit Awards: $250 each
- Three Juror's Choice Awards: $200 each
- Gerhard Miller Award of Excellence: $500
- Bonnie Hartmann Award for Outstanding Creativity: $100
Artwork Delivery & Return
- Delivery: Must be framed, gallery wrapped, or ready to hang
- Hanging hardware: D-ring or picture wire only (no sawtooth hangers, alligator clips, or Z-bars)
- Shipping: Pre-paid return label required; all costs artist's responsibility
- Return: Works will be expedited within two (2) weeks if a return shipping label is provided
Sales & Commission
Artwork may or may not be for sale as each artist wishes. The museum retains a 40% commission on each sale; the retail price should reflect this commission. Artists with exclusive Door County gallery contracts must list the gallery name and commission percentage during submission.
