Overview
Chokechaka Artist Residency welcomes artists, musicians, curators, scholars, activists, cultural workers and creatives to join their community and support their work in this inspiring mountain setting. The residency prioritizes those whose practice shows receptivity to new environments and can be enriched by immersion in different cultures and languages, and values community engagement, shared experiences and cultural exchange.
Location & Setting
Nestled in Peru's Sacred Valley of the Incas (Valle Sagrado de los Incas) in the Cusco Region's Calca district, Chokechaka is situated at an elevation of 9,850 ft (3,000m), just 40 miles from Alejandro Velasco Astete Cusco Airport and 50 miles from Machu Picchu.
