Members of Artists Equity may submit up to 2 pieces of 2D or 3D original artwork in any medium for juried consideration in the Fall Members' Exhibition.
Overview
The Big Works Show is a juried exhibition at the Main Line Art Center featuring exceptional works in 2D and 3D media that provoke thought, encourage dialogue, and inspire curiosity. The juror is art educator and acclaimed artist Kassem Amoudi.
Key dates
- Submission deadline: July 25, 2026
- Artwork delivery: Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 11 am–2 pm (hand delivery only)
- Artists' reception: Thursday, September 10, 2026, 5:30–7:30 pm
- Pickup of unsold artwork: Monday, October 26, 2026, 11 am–2 pm
Eligibility
You must be a current member of Artists Equity to enter. (Main Line Art Center membership does not count.) Non-members may join at https://www.artistsequity.org/become-a-member ($60 yearly; $15 for full-time art students with valid art school email). Work cannot have been exhibited in an Artists Equity show within the past four years.
What you can submit
2D and 3D work in any medium of original artwork.
2D work requirements
- Width must be 30"–48" including frame
- Height must be 30"–72" including frame
- Must be properly wired and ready to hang with finished edges (gallery wrapped or framed, no sawtooth hangers)
- Weight cannot exceed 20 lbs
- All work must have clear labels securely attached to the front and stapled to the wire in back, listing Artist's Name, Title, Medium, and Price (or NFS)
- Diptychs and triptychs photographed together count as one piece
3D/Pedestal work requirements
- Maximum size: 12" wide × 12" deep × 36" high
- Must be light enough for safe installation by one person
Fees and awards
- Cost to apply: Free for Artists Equity members
- Juror prizes: First ($300), Second ($200), Third ($100), Three Honorable Mentions (one-year AE membership valued at $60)
- No commission: MLAC and Artists Equity take no commission on sales
Delivery and pickup
Artwork must be hand-delivered Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 11 am–2 pm at 746 Panmure Rd, Haverford, PA 19041. No mail or FedEx/UPS accepted. Unsold work must be picked up Monday, October 26, 2026, 11 am–2 pm; work cannot remain after 2 pm.
