Overview

The 51st Annual Juried Exhibition at Madison Art Society is open to all artists 18 and over. Original works in all media except photography or computer-generated art are accepted.

Eligibility & Requirements

18 years and older
Original works only; photography and computer-generated art not accepted
Work must not have been shown in previous MAS exhibits or done under tutelage
Work must be signed, framed, and wired for hanging (wire attached 1/4 down on frame; no sawtooth hangers)
Gallery-wrapped canvas edges must be painted
Framed art may not exceed 38" on the longest side
Sculpture up to 40 lbs accepted (artist must supply pedestal)
Mixed media accepted
Work must be appropriate for all age viewers
'Not for Sale' works accepted

Entry Fees

MAS Members: $20 for one entry, $10 for a second entry
Non-Members: $40 for one entry, $10 for a second entry
Up to 2 artworks per artist (only 1 may be accepted)
Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by July 24, 2026

Awards

$4,000 in Cash Awards.

Sales & Commission

Artists are paid the full sales amount directly
A 20% contribution of sales goes to MAS; half of that is donated to Scranton Memorial Library
Madison Art Society assumes no liability for damage, loss, or theft; artists are responsible for insuring their own work

Image & Submission Specifications

Submit high-quality JPEG files (PNG, TIFF not accepted)
Crop image to show only the artwork; no matting, frames, or background visible
Orient image correctly (right side up)
High resolution required; system will auto-resize
Maximum 30 MB file size per image
No need to rename files; system handles file naming
You may review, edit, and substitute images until the July 24 deadline
