About
Art and/or writing-focused organizations are invited to apply as Region-at-Large Adjudication Partners to help judge the 2027 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
Overview
The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers is seeking art and/or writing-focused organizations to serve as Region-at-Large Adjudication Partners, helping judge entries for the 2027 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. This is a paid partnership opportunity. The Scholastic Awards are the largest, longest-running recognition program for creative teens, now in operation for over 100 years. They invite young people in grades 7–12 to enter works of visual art and creative writing across 29 categories, offering recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarship opportunities.
About Region-at-Large
While the Alliance's Affiliate Partner network is vast, it does not reach every corner of participating areas (the U.S., U.S. territories, and Canada). Teens without a local Affiliate are assigned to Region-at-Large, a satellite region managed directly by the Alliance. Serving as a Region-at-Large Partner directly supports and helps recognize the next generation of young creatives, particularly those without a geographic avenue into the Awards.

All entered works are judged first at the regional level by approximately 100 regional Affiliate Partners—school districts, museums, colleges and universities, libraries, and other educational organizations. Works that win at the regional level then advance to the national level.
