16th Annual Abstract Only! Abstract art only—artwork must be non-representational with no recognizable figures or objects. All media welcomed in 2D, 3D, and digital media. Juror: Codie M. King. Sponsored by Hawaiʻi Island Art Alliance (HIAA) and the Hawaiʻi State Parks.

Open to 2D, 3D and video artists in Hawaiʻi and US. Hawaii Island students (grade school through college, full-time) receive first entry free with code 'HIStudent'.

Submit up to 5 entries total. All images or videos judged digitally. For 3D works, submit multiple photographs from different angles or a short video. Maximum file size 5 MB; recommend 1200 pixels longest edge, sRGB, JPEG.

  • Wailoa Center: Saturday, August 8, 2026, 10:00am–1:00pm (drop-off); Friday, September 18, 10:00am–1:00pm (pick-up)
  • Kona (Kona Frame Shop Parking Lot): Friday, August 7, 2026, 10:00am (drop-off); Friday, September 18, 10:00am (pick-up)
  • Off-island work: must be received by Friday, August 7, 2026. Artists responsible for return shipping costs using FedEx account.

Create a CaFÉ account and portfolio. Upload high-quality image and artwork information for each submission. Include artist statement (max 2000 characters) when creating account and work description (max 2000 characters) when uploading. Once submitted and fees paid, no changes allowed.
