Overview
You are invited to submit your artwork to this long-running selected exhibition showcasing the best work by local professional and amateur artists. The exhibition takes place in the recently renovated Corn Exchange in Blandford Forum, in the centre of the historic Georgian town, which attracts both local visitors and holidaymakers. The Open Exhibition is widely advertised in local magazines and on social media.

- Hand-in: Thursday 13 August 2026, 6–8 pm at the Corn Exchange
- Exhibition: Saturday 15 August to Friday 21 August 2026
- Preview: Saturday 15 August, 5–7 pm (drinks served)

Eligibility
Professional and amateur artists resident in Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset, or Wiltshire are eligible.
What to submit
- Up to 4 artworks (canvases, framed work, or sculptures)
- Up to 6 portfolio items (not subject to selection; images not required)
- All work must be priced at £50 or above in multiples of £5
Submission fees
- BAS Members: £6 per framed piece, £3 per portfolio item
- Non-members: £10 per framed piece, £5 per portfolio item

Sales commission
There is a 25% commission charge on all sales at the exhibition.
About Blandford Art Society
Blandford Art Society was started in 1972 and has over 50 members, including beginners and experienced artists. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in art. The society offers weekly meeting places for artists on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday evenings, as well as monthly workshops with visiting tutors and speakers.
