Artists at any career stage are invited to apply for a 2-6 week artist residency with living stipend, travel subsidy, and materials support.

Loghaven Artist Residency supports artists with time, space, and financial support to create innovative work. The retreat-based residency is process-oriented and not event-focused, though artists may choose to create public-facing work during their stay. Loghaven has supported artists for over eighty years and maintains relationships with alumni/ae through ongoing community engagement.

  • Length: 2–6 weeks
  • Approximately 6 artists in residence at a time
  • Collaborative applications accepted
  • Private studios and housing on campus

Practicing artists of all backgrounds and at any stage of their career are eligible. Artists currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program are not eligible. You must be at least 21 years old and live more than 120 miles away from Knoxville. You must already have the ability to work in the United States and receive income per US tax law. All eligibility requirements must be met at the time of application.

Eligibility
Any stage of career — Practicing artists of all backgrounds and at any stage of their career are eligible to apply for a Loghaven residency. Artists currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program are not eligible. Due to the living stipend and other support Loghaven provides, artists applying for a residency must already have the ability to work in the United States and receive income from Loghaven Artist Residency and the Aslan Foundation, per US tax law. Artists must be at least twenty-one years old and live more than 120 miles away from Knoxville. This distance requirement is designed to ensure that artists are able to be fully immersed in their residency experience and can take advantage of the retreat-style environment.
