Overview
Celebrate the culinary arts with artwork inspired by food and drink—still lifes, vineyard landscapes, chef portraits, café scenes, and more. Pro's Epicurean Ristorante, a casual restaurant in downtown Cary with European and Italian/French fare, will host this rotating exhibition of FALC member artwork.

Eligibility
Open to members of the Fine Arts League of Cary. 2D artwork only (painting, photography, collage, mixed media, pastel, pen and ink). 3D artwork such as sculpture, crafts, or decorative arts is not eligible. Original artwork must have been created within the past three years and must be the artist's sole original creation (not a copy, not created under instructor supervision, not computer-generated or AI-enhanced). Photographs must be original, printed on photographic paper (darkroom or computer) or canvas, with only minor darkroom adjustments allowed; no digital manipulation, photoshopping, or art reproductions are permitted.
Media & Size
- 2D artwork only: painting, photography, collage, mixed media, pastel, pen and ink
- Minimum size: 8 × 8 inches including frame
- Maximum size: 40 × 40 inches including frame
- Unframed work must be on canvas with 1.5" painted edges or on a cradled wood panel with 1.5" thick edges
- Artwork must be wired to gallery standards
- Artwork must be family appropriate
Entry & Fees
- Member entry fee: $20 for up to 4 works
- Up to 4 artworks per artist
- Entries submitted via ShowSubmit portal
- Images must be high-quality JPEG files with no visible frame, mat, glass, or background
- Entries may not be changed after the deadline; no substitutions allowed
Sales & Commission
All artwork must be offered for sale (NFS not allowed). If a work sells during the exhibition, the artist receives the sale price minus the Fine Arts League of Cary's standard 25% commission. The artist will be notified and contacted to arrange pickup.
Submission Instructions
Submit images using the ShowSubmit portal. Images must be original, high-quality JPEGs showing only the artwork itself without frame, mat, glass, or background distractions. Images must be right-side up and not blurry. Artwork must be labeled on the back with artist name, phone number, email, title, and price. Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered during drop-off on Monday, August 17, 2026, 10am–1pm; no shipments or parcels accepted.
