A six-day residency program for cultural policy leaders and arts professionals to critically examine cultural policy across governance systems and develop advocacy strategies.
Overview
This six-day residency program invites participants to critically examine how cultural policy shapes access, equity, and influence across local, provincial, federal, and Indigenous governance systems. Participants will dissect policy foundations, engage with government cycles, and develop advocacy strategies for systemic change in a space designed for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous decision-makers.

Eligibility
Open to arts and culture professionals of any career stage, including Indigenous, Canadian, and international artists; administrators, managers, and directors; policymakers; creative producers; education and engagement specialists; and community-based cultural workers in urban and rural settings.
Residency details
- Length: 6 days
- Cohort size: 28 participants
- Language: English
- Housing: Private bedroom in shared facility on campus
- Meals: All meals provided
- Accessibility: Partially accessible (50% or more)
Fees
- Application fee: $65 CAD ($35 CAD for applicants who identify as Indigenous); non-refundable
- Residency fee: $3,683 CAD per person (tuition, accommodation, meal plan) plus GST
Financial aid
Funding of up to $2,500 CAD is available to support participants, especially those working for non-profits and smaller organizations. Complete the Financial Aid section when uploading supporting materials.
