About
Artists and ensembles creating new performance work at any stage of development are invited to apply for week-long residencies at NACL's performance hall and artist residence in the Catskills, culminating in a public sharing.
Overview
DEEP SPACE is a performance residency program for artists and groups experimenting and making new works along the fringes of the mainstream. The program provides time and space for artists to dig deeply into the processes of creation and production, culminating in a public sharing with an invited audience.
Residency Details
- Location: NACL Cultural Laboratory and Artist Residence, southwestern Catskills, New York
- Length: One-week residencies (typical)
- Season: April–November
- Accommodates up to 15 participants per residency
- Mix of early-phase, mid-phase, and late-phase projects scheduled each year
Eligibility
Open to individual performing artists and ensembles/groups engaged in creation of new work at any stage of career, from anywhere in the world.
